Our history
Jessica Herrera, the leader of the group, is an asthmatic patients, and she had different experiences that made her to start a project to help asthmatic patients. In Sep 2019, for her biomedical engineering senior project at the university of california, Irvine, Jessica came up with an idea to upgrade a diagnostic device that can help nurses, doctors, and patients during ashtma attack in emergency room. In Oct 2019, our group gathered together, and we started our journey together in hope to help ashtmatic patients.

Jessica is a leader amongst biomedical researchers at the University of California, Irvine. Her natural leadership abilities and ability to quickly adapt to ever changing environments make her a very capable and determined leader of the team. She will be soon pursuing a PhD in biomedical engineering and specializing in tissue engineering.

Craig is an undergraduate student at UCI with experience in the mechanical and medical device industry. Craig has experience performing structural and material analysis for various industries including maritime, aerospace, and defense. He also has experience working in the medical device industry in a circuit lab for a popular pulse oximetry company.

Alireza is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Irvine. Alireza does research in tissue engineering and specializes in generating matlab codes to gather and process data in order to obtain useful information from various types of experience. His technical knowledge and experience with different aspects of engineering make him a very beneficial member of the team.

Adam is an undergraduate student at UCI with experience in design and manufacturing. He serves as a researcher in Ragan Lab specializing in graphene production. Additionally, he served as a lead engineer on the FSAE EV Driveline tasked with constructing a fully functional race car.

Jose is an undergraduate student at UCI, and has experience as a manager at an on-campus business. His charisma and business acumen make him a very valuable member of the team. He is a natural leader and is very experienced in managing groups of people and ensuring proper team chemistry.

Shokoufeh is a student at UCI with experience in research and industry. She currently serves as a researcher at the Haun Lab where she focuses on nanomaterials and microfluidics. Additionally, she has experience working at a medical company that specializes in diagnostics and detection systems.
